I visited Tra an Doilin beach, situated along the Wild Atlantic Way in the Connemara region of County Galway Ireland, in May 2017. The beach itself is unique, being composed of crushed pink coral, but the surroundings were what captured my attention. Since I was lodging nearby, I made two morning trips to the beach. The first morning was misty with a light rain while nursing mares and horses grazed in fields enclosed with stone walls. The second morning found a gentle sunrise warming the rocky coastline as the horses wandered along the coast off in the distance.
